I have a 2002 sahara jeep wrangler. I want to know what's the largest tire i can put on it without it rubbing and without a lift.
A: You can fit tires up to 31x10.5 inches on a stock TJ without buying a lift kit. The stock YJ can only fit tires up to 30x9.5 inches. When you put larger tires than stock on a vehicle, you'll be slowing the engine down and losing some power. This may be a concern if you are thinking about putting 31" tires on a 4 cylinder TJ, but I have a friend who has done this and doesn't worry about it too much.

A: Easy. Remove the POSITIVE battery cable from your battery. Keep it off for a minimum of 5 minutes, but I recommend 10. This restarts the computer which restarts all electronics, including codes and errors. Good luck and I hope this was helpful.

Q: How do I remove a shifter knob on a 1998 jeep wrangler sahara?
A: Get a good tight grip on it and turn it to the left (righty-tighty, lefty-loosey). You could use some channel lock pliers on it if you don't mind scratching the heck out of it or if you have a plumber's strap wrench that would work too.
They are really on there good so it will take some effort but that's how it's done. I had to take mine off last weekend when I replaced my clutch and it took some effort but it'll unscrew.

A: I did this myself to my jeep. It was a whole lot cheaper than paying a shop. I don't know if you have already done it, but you must drop the tank because the filter is on the bottom side of the pump. If you have not done it, e-mail me and I can give you precise instructions.

A: tuffy overhead console about 260.00 or some light force off road lights. headlight upgrade to h4? airbox upgrade for better intake, if you get the volant, you can add a snorkel next year.
body armor for the rear quater panels or the front fenders. rocker skid plates?

lightforce are the austrailian brand of lights that the long haul truckers use in the outback. do an internet search. i think they are the best since you can adjust the beam spot.

A: I've got a 99 Sahara with about 70K miles and I love it. The transmission cooling lines were leaking when I bought it so I had those replaced. Other than that no problems

A: W/o lift 31 for diamiter is about it. For rubbing the question is back spacing on the wheel. Backspacing is the distance from the centerline of the whhel to the face of the bolt flange. If the wheel is backspaced wrong for your jeep it will rub.

A: An 04 Wrangler Sahara will sell for about $19K now, so you can assume that in three years, an 07 will sell for about the same. Jeeps hold their value better than anything else other than a Harley Davidson.
I don't know about the Nissan, and I wouldn't recommend one. We've had several Wranglers and LOVE em!
Q: Jeep Wrangler Sahara or Rubicon?
I am going to buy a 2007 Wrangler and I need to decide between the Sahara and the Rubicon. This will be an everyday drive vehicle and realistically I will be on-road way more than off-road (giving the edge to the Sahara). BUT, the whole purpose of getting the Jeep is to go off-road which makes the Rubicon more desirable. What should I go with?
A: I would personally go with the Rubicon. When your spending lots of money wouldnt you like to atleast know You bought the Big Daddy Jeep (top of the line)> That makes guys in other non equiped Jeeps druel. Also if you ever decide to get stupid isnt it nice to know you have lockers and 37:1 crawl ratio? Sahara you will have to at least opt for the traction lok rear diff. Heck I would just make sure you get the dual Top Option and that hopefully one day avail MyGigTm Player(nav radio with 8gig hd space for MP3s... That is just neat. Just make sure you find a dealer who will work with you. dont settle and get what you want.

Q: What type of speakers should I put in my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sahara?
A: Its a Jeep. It gets exposed to elements my Mustang will never see. Take your favorite CDs to a good stereo shop and listen for yourself. We can not tell you what sounds good because my taste is different than your and everyone else's. What I can recommend is to make sure that the speaker is a polypropylene cone and buttle ruber surround. This type of speaker can handle the element better. Check the speaker rms make sure it matches your stereos rms or it will sound like crap. If you plan on doing a front and back speakers, use the same speaker model. This is voice matching. You really should keep speakers all around. Except for the sub. Not all subs are equil.
As far a sub. You can't go wrong with a JL audio. I put mine in a tube. I can remove it as I need and it does not take up much space.
I'd rivet a couple of metal plates (dia plate) under the seats and bolt up the amps. Use a good oxygen free speaker wire(not monster cable you're just paying for the name) when hooking them up to your amp.
Buy the way BOSE doesn't make car speakers for the pubic to buy. They are a factory installed speakers. BOSE stands for Buy Other Speaker Equipment.

After parking it for 45 minutes, it would'nt stay running. Started fine but died out quickly.I finally reved the engine for 30 seconds? and was able to drive home with the CHECK ENGINE light on. Ran the diagnostic code and got a 0340 code. Any clue ?
A: P0340 (M) No Cam Signal At PCM No fuel sync.
Most likely it is a bad Cam Position Sensor. Replace the CPS, unhook the neg. battery terminal to clear the code and see it that helps.
The sensor is inside the distributor, underneath the rotor beneath a plastic shield.
