Q: 2007 Jeep Wrangler - How long does Soft Top last?
I was advised to consider the hard top over the hard top for a 2007 Wrangler, based in part on that the Soft Top requires replacement periodically. Question: Does anyone have experience for how long the soft-top lasts? I do plan on keeping the Jeep for a LONG time (where the LIFETIME warranty is nice)

A: I have the original soft top on a 1984 Jeep CJ and it is still in good shape. Also have a soft top on my 2001 Wrangler and it is still just like new.

Q: What is the Safety Rating for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
I am looking to buy a 2007, 4 door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a 2 year old, so I would like to find out the Child Safety Rating on this vehicle. I would also like to know how many car seats it can safely hold.

A: If you're concerned about safety ratings, a Wrangler is one of the sturdiest vehicles on the road (unlike other abortions with the Jeep logo on them). But if that's what you're looking for, then get a minivan instead. It would be a cruying shame to get a Wrangler and not use it for its intended purpose, which is to go off-roading. Not driving on dirt roads or rolling through a 6-inch deep, Hummer-sized puddle, I'm taling about SERIOUS four wheeling. Wranglers are made to do more than back over your flowerbed, unlike everything else on the market.

Q: What is the best engine oil filter for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
I am wanting to start doing my own oil changes on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and I want to use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil and the best filter I can buy.

A: Smart man, I started using Mobil 1 after I graduated from collage and I've put over 250K on my truck. I recently tried to overhaul it, but when I tore it down, nothing was wore out. It's not the filter that really important as it is the oil you use. Just don't go by a cheap off the wall filter. Usually most all your parts store brands will work fine. Hope this helps!

Q: Is it possible to remove the factory subwoofer in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and replace it with a different sub??
I have the optional subwoofer on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. Is it possible to replace that with a different subwoofer and amp USING THE SAME WIRING that is installed for the factory sub.

A: I won't work on an 01. The stock unit is a different amp than anything after market. You can't mix and match, won't sound right. Speakers will heat up and cut out even when volume isn't that high or it will just sound bad.

Q: Can you replace half doors with full metal doors on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
Does anyone know if I can replace 2007 wrangler half doors with full metal doors? I've been looking around and can't seem to find any full doors so im not sure. And if you can, does anyone know where i can find them in aftermarket sales?

A: Yes you can put on full metal doors,it's kind of funny that I see a lot of people on this website looking for half doors.I guess I would try EBAY or Craigslist to try to find the full metal doors.I don't think you will have any trouble selling the half doors, they build very few half doors.

Q: How do i disable the headlights from comming on 2007 JEEP wrangler?
How do i disable the headlights from comming on when I use the keypad to unlock the doors and back gate on my 2007 JEEP Wrangler Sahara . This is very annoying when I am covert with law officials or hunting. Thank you for any help. Fawn www.fawn2002.com

A: it can be turned off in the TIPM with a chrysler scan tool at the dealer. it will only take a minute.

Q: What REAL WORLD gas mileage are you getting in your 2007 jeep wrangler unlimiteds?
What REAL WORLD gas mileage are you getting in your 2007 jeep wrangler unlimiteds? THinking of getting one and am curious of the real gas mileage? Also it would be my daily driver, how is this vehicle when you have to drive it everyday?

A: my sisters X unlimited gets 18 city/ 22 highway. seats are very "upright" uncomfortable. it's bearable still, i drove it 400 miles roundtrip and i had no real complains. it's a little noisy on the highway, but all capable 4x4 does this. acceleration from a stop and go traffic is not that bad( it could use 20-30 more horses though). Removable everything is a huge plus, this is a properly priced fun 4x4, if you live in a warm and dry climate, its perfect. for(she paid) $23k +tax, its worth evey penny.

Q: Switching wheels from 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to 1999 Jeep Wrangler?
I have a 1999 jeep wrangler and was wondering if I can fit wheels from a 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited on it.

A: Yes

Q: How Do I Mount a License Plate to the Front Bumper of a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X?
How Do I Mount a License Plate to the Front Bumper of a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X? There are no pre-existing holes... Thanks

A: Go to the dealer and go to the parts dept. There should be a bracket they have or can get that will fasten to the jeep using the bolts and/or holes in the bottom of the bumper etc. Then you can mount your plate to that. It shouldnt cost much to buy. If there is not a bracket avalable have them show you how you put the plate on the jeep.........Hope this helps...........UJN

Q: Does your 2007 Jeep wrangler get 11 mpg?
I have a 2007 4 door jeep wrangler and the reviews said it would get 16 town and 20 highway. I get about 11.2 mpg regularly. Anyone else experience this problem too?

A: All Jeeps get dismal fuel mileage its a Jeep trademark!!

Q: What does the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon have that the X model Does't?
I'm finally getting my 2007 Jeep Wrangler soon but i cant find the differenc between these 2, the only obvious things are tires to me. soo Specs? Im stripping it clean a month after I get it, 35" tires and 3" lift so the tires and springs dont matter

A: If you are planning to "strip it down" then save the money and buy the X model. The rubicon is great if your off-roading is more rock crawling than mudding. The locker axles would be great in either case, but certianly not a necessity. The X model is not as mentioned above better suited to dirt roads than actual off-roading. The X and Sahara's will outperform almost anything else on the planet out of the box off road (Land Rover Defender is the only thing that comes to mind that could show the Wrangler up off road) The Rubicon is the most well equipped, and capable off road vehicle you can buy new right now. Oh and the 07 rubicons no longer come with garbage Goodyear MTR's but the BFG mud terrains.

Q: Can you still order a 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited?
I am looking at buying a Jeep Wrangler unlimited and I would like to order the Jeep to make sure it has all options that I want on it. Is it to late to order an 07 or do I need to wait for the 08 to come out now?

A: You have to get a 2008,if you order it expect about a 2 month wait.We are getting a lot of orders and right now we have about 100 production days of orders.

Q: Where to find a slanted hard top for 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
Hey I saw a picture from the SEMA auto show that had a Jeep Wrangler JK 4 door with a hard top, but the back part was slanted down. I thought it looked cool, but haven't found it online. If anyone knows a place to find one please tell me. Thanks

A: I dont know if this is the one you seen but one I wandered across a few days ago...http://www.willysjeepshop.com/ Kind of expensive though if you ask me for something that takes away storage room.

Q: Do I need the motor replaced in my 2007 jeep wrangler?
Jeep told me they are going to replace the bearings. I was told by my mechanic my motor is damaged because of the bad bearings and that I really should demand a whole new motor.

A: While IF and I say IF the crank was damaged, yes they should replace the engine. What we do not know, is why are they doing this? Is it a factory recall? If so, they may be doing this to AVOID damage?? And the probability is that none has happened in that case. If it is not knocking or losing oil pressure, how can your mechanic say the crank is damaged? Did he pull the oil pan and look and measure the journals? I doubt it. Has it been in water, bad oil, no oil change? Why are they doing this? Bearings do not just fail on new engines. No, I am not putting you down, but these are valid questions that you will be asked or you should ask before demanding a new engine. The answers will lead to your better able to analyze the situation. Just wanted to make sure both sides of the discussion are covered. On this question, we really do not know all the details of why this is occurring. Good Luck

Q: Where can I find a (stupid) non factory clutch for my lifted 2007 jeep wrangler?
The factory clutch in my 07 wrangler burnt out within 14k miles and is not covered under warranty and the service man told me with my jeep having a lift and bigger tires that if they just put a factory clutch back in it would probably only last another 14k miles. And so far I havent been able to find ANY aftermarket clutches for my year jeep.

A: Clutches are never covered under warranty because its a wear item like brakes and tires. Anyone that wrecks a clutch in 14k miles has caused the damage themselves.
