Q: Jeep Patriot?
My husband and I are condsidering selling our 2004 Jeep Wrangler and buying a Jeep Patriot. The dealer called saying he has a new 2007 in but only has 2 wheel drive. Any good or bad comments on this? Is it worth 6 thousand dollars more to get it in 4 wheel drive/custom? Any owners out there with any imput on the patriot? Thank you :o)
A: do u need 4wd -2 wd gets better gas milage- do u go offroad? tow a boat? snow? if not go with 2wd and buy something else with the 6 grand
Q: What are the rear window measurements for a 2008 Jeep Patriot?
My boyfriend just bought a 2008 Jeep Patriot and I am wanting to get vinyl lettering done on his rear window for Father's Day and need to know the mesurements to do so without him knowing. I am looking to put a flag across the entire back window.
A: It sounds like a suprise!!! Try calling any glass company in your area that normallly replaces them. They should be able to give you measurements.
Q: What is the average dealer profit margin on a 2008 Jeep Patriot?
What is the average dealer profit margin on a 2008 Jeep Patriot?
Buying a new one today, looking at two, one with a sticker of about 18k, the other 22k... just wondering how much leeway I have with the sticker price.
My trade in is between 2500 and 4000 in value if that matters.
A: Not much about 5-600 markup. Take whatever rebate you can get unless its a better deal to get a finance rate.No special rate but 500 rebate so good luck. I sell jeep I hope you enjoy it.
Another case of dumb no it does not have 2000 in markup you can go to edmunds .com and build the car and see invoice just remember some things are missing regional advertising and a couple of minor cost things. Good luck.
Q: Does the Jeep Patriot only come with a Manual Transmission?
I was looking into getting a new car and I saw the Jeep Patriot and read the specs on it and fell in love. The only problem is, whenever I search for a car in the area, they are all listed as manual! Does the Jeep Patriot only come with a manual transmission?
Also, does anyone have any opinions on the Jeep Compass? It looks interesting!
A: nope its just cheaper to get them with the manual tranny i work at a jeep store and all we have are jeep patriots with auto trannys i like them.... the compass is a good car as well i like them too nice and small but still spacious on the inside its a nice car in my opnion id go for the patriot but its all up to you hope this helps
Q: Gas mileage on the new Jeep Patriot different than stated?
I have a Jeep Patriot, 4x4, 2.5 4L engine, manual transmission. The sticker claims that it does 25-29 mpg but I've yet to see such results. I'm getting under 23 every time and I've been driving like a grandma trying to get to at least 25! Anyone else having this same problem? What kind of mileage are you getting?
A: The mileage estimates on your sticker are EPA mileage estimates, which are notorious for being inaccurate. They overhauled their testing standards for 2008, but real world mileage can be much different.
Driving like a grandma doesn't mean much. Living in areas with a lot of hills or mountains will decrease mileage, as will rain and snow. Check your tire pressure often, as improper tire inflation can hurt your mileage.
Other than that, you're probably getting average for that vehicle. Welcome to SUVs.
Q: which is worse environmentally, the subaru forester or jeep patriot?
i am trying to decide between buying a jeep patriot and a subaru forester. when i look at the consume reports green guide and the yahoo green guide, i get very different as well as confusing information. i know neither is a great choice environmentally, but are they really that bad, and, if so, why?
A: The Subaru is a better build vehicle which will last longer ( with proper maintenance), this alone would make its environmental impact less. In this category you also have the Ford Escape Hybrid which may be more what you are looking for.
Q: How do you like your 08/09 Jeep Patriot ? I am picking one up by the end of the week.?
I was going to get the Jeep Liberty but the 15 mpg for city driving drove me to the patriot.
A: In this segment I would look at the Subaru Forester (new model for 2009), Honda CRV or the Nissan Rougue. More efficient engines, better build quality, much higher resale value, so your overall ownership cost can be less.
Q: Is the Jeep Patriot available with Freedom Drive II (Trailrated) yet?
I've been looking at Patriots on autotrader, and none of them are trailrated. I know because Jeep says the trailrated version tow hooks, as well as the "Trailrated" badge. And none of them I'm looking at have it.
Is it just very rare, or have they not started making Freedom Drive II Patroits yet?
A: The Patriot Limited with the Freedom drive is available. If you go to www.hbjeep.com and look up stk # PJ2553 you will see one that we have in stock.
Q: Whats the Bolt pattern for the rim of a Jeep Patriot?
I just bought a 2008 Jeep Patriot and trying to figure out what the bolt pattern is, I tried a couple tire sites such as tires.com and tirerack with no luck. Also what other cars will have the same bolt pattern.
A: The bolt pattern is 5x114.3. Good luck!
Q: Help choosing new car, Navara or Jeep Patriot?
I want to get a bigger car, I like the idea of a pickup but I only really like the new style Nissan Navaras which are a bit expensive. I test drove an 05 Navara the other day and I did like it, although it didnt have a 'new car' feeling. I saw on the Jeep website today the new Patriot model. I like the look of it and it is a bit more economical aswel (42.2mpg average), and a bit cheaper to insure, especially as I am only 18. Which do you think I should aim for? I havent yet been to see the Jeep Patriot, so I cant really compare them, but if anyone has any opinions, that would be good.
How did I know id get at least 1 anti 4x4 comment. How about speedbumps and potholes? There are plenty of them on English roads, and the benifit of being up higher means you can see over the tops of other cars which is good in traffic as well. And heres something you might not realise, although the cars I mentioned do have 4wd, they also have 2wd which is what most people would be driving around in on the road.
What do you mean by everyone will hate you? Get out a bit more and take notice of how many 4x4's you see on the road. Loads. I think what you meant to say was 'your type' will hate you.
A: Get a Defender. They are the best fun ever!!
Q: Does anyone know any problems with the four cylinder of the Jeep Patriot?
My family and I are having a tough decision picking out a car. We had a 1997 Jeep Cherokee and now we are getting ready to purchase a new car. My dad wants a Forester Subaru while my mom and I want the Jeep Patriot. To make everyone happy, we need to find out if there is anything wrong with the Jeep Patriot's four cylinder engine.
Also, does anyone own a Jeep Patriot or a Forester and wants to tell about their experience with it? I would really appreciate it.
Thank You!
:)
A: Jeeps have the worst reliability issues next to Land Rover. The Patriot is new so long-term reliability isn't reported yet. I would imagine that you could do some research on the engine and see what other models use it then do some review comparisons there. But if the choice is between a Subaru and an Jeep Patriot, you and your mother need to look at it more practically than emotionally. The Subaru is a fantastic car and it will last you a VERY long time. No hassle, just pure love. Subarus are some of the best cars out there, even compared to the luxury brands. They can last 25 years no problem and tackle winters without challenge. By far, your best bet is the Forester.
Q: What is the difference between the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot?
I'm looking at small SUVs and wagons and like what I've seen in the two small Jeeps but wonder what separates the two and also, which is more like the Dodge Caliber and which is more SUV/Jeeplike, thanks.
A: Both jeeps are very close to the same so close that they use the same Body code MK. This means that they are the same size. The difference is just in appearance and options.
Q: How long will it take once I order a Jeep Patriot?
I ordered one 6 weeks ago and the dealership has no idea when the vehicle will be in.
A: I just got mine almost 2 weeks ago, but had a long wait because of mine being changed from 07 to 08. I was told 6-8 weeks when I ordered. If it's been 6 weeks you should be getting it. I understand though if you got supplemental air bags that there is a delay until I believe October. If you didn't get the extra air bags then you should be getting it. Check this site out if you don't already belong or know about it. www.jeeppatriot.com. Somewhere there someone posted about the air bag delay.
Q: Should I get a Jeep Patriot or a Compass?
I need a sporty car with atleast 30 mpg that can handle bad weather and terrain
Any other suggestions?
Also, what's a good car for high school?
A: If you want one that is going to get the best mileage, go for a Toyota. If you are set on Jeep though, I would recommend the Patriot. It seems to get about 29 mpg on the highway (26 around town), is safe, and has a lot of room. People love the Compass too, but its also apparently really small and crowded (not good for High School or anyone over the age of 7). I put links to a few reviews on each car below, so you can see exactly what people love/don't love about each, as long as what type of people are driving them. Good luck!!

Q: Should I purchase the Jeep Patriot or the Honda Civic?
I really want a SUV and the Patriot is in my price range, at the same time I like the Honda Civic even though I'd have to buy the "bare bones" version (cheapest one). either ways I end up paying the same for either. The gas issue isn't that big of a deal for me since I don't drive far. Please help me choose. I have to make a decision soon- my other car is crap.
A: Don't replace crap with crap.
Civics enjoy a good reputation.
The Patriot does not get good ratings.
If you buy the Patriot and then decide you don't like it, the resale value will be poor, because of the gas mileage and because of the reputation.
If you want a mini SUV, spend a few extra dollars fand buy a CRV, RAV4, or a Forester.
