Q: Jeep Commander?
I've recently started an independent sales firm and I need to buy a large sized SUV and I've been looking at a used 2006 Jeep Commander. I'm selling medical stretchers and they are quite large. I'm wondering if anyone on here has Jeep Commander and can give me some feedback.
I havea few questions: How do you like the car and would you recommend it? And how long is the cargo area when both sets of rear seats are folded down?
I need the cargo area to be about 8 feet long. Please give some feedback if you have a Commander or know someone who does.
Thanks.
A: You can head over to a Jeep dealer with a tape measure. That's what I did when I needed a car big enough to haul my hurricane shutters. Or you can buy a long wheelbase Dodge or Chrysler Minivan. I know they'll easily take 4x8's.
Q: Is there room to negotiate the use car price of a Jeep Commander?
What % is good to offer below the sticker price of a Jeep Commander (2007 with 14k miles) at the Jeep dealership? Where should it end up? Let's say the sticker price is $23,000.00.
It's certified used, in excellent condition, with upgrade to leather, sunroof, and 6 cd changer.
A: make an offer they'll either take it or they won't
Q: How would I trade in my 2006 Jeep Commander for another car?
I have a 2006 Jeep Commander and I want to trade it in. It sucks on gas and I really want a different car. I'm only 18 and I'm tryin to pay for college, and the car is taking all my money. I want to trade it in for a another car, maybe a used car at the dealership. How much would this cost me? What would I have to do?
A: When you go to dealership the finance person will call the institute where the loan for your jeep is from. They will get a payoff amount, this is the amount of dollars needed to end your loan and consider the car "paid". When you find a car you want they will talk about trade-in value, it wont be as many dollars as the payoff, the left over is called negative equity and that is added to your new car's purchase price.
So for example, Your payoff on jeep is $9000, and they offer $5000 on trade and the car your looking at is $10000, then the $4000 left over on the jeep will get added to your new loan and that $10000 car just became $14000 that you need to finance
Q: What type of oil filter do you use for 2007 jeep commander besides mopar?
went to walmart and bought an oilfilter for 07 jeep commander. did not fit in the suv. dealer said it only uses mopar. i know they r lying. what filter do u use? where should i buy it? i live in edmonton canada
A: Brand doesn't really matter all that much, it's more about marketing than quality, especially if you are keeping up on regular maintenance. I use Fram parts because they are readily available. Your Jeep can use a couple of different filters (depends on the engine you have). 6 cyl engine is a PH3600 (Fram part #), 8 cyl engine is a PH16. A couple things, about not being able to use the filter you bought... first, what didnt work? length or width of filter? or just couldn't get it to spin on? if it was a size issue, then maybe you purchased the wrong filter, or a simpler way to fix this is use the PH3614 it is the same filter, only smaller (will work on either engine)will also hold a little less oil. If you were unable to get it to spin on, then you probably did not have the correct angle (this applies to the 6 cyl more, but could still be the problem on either).
Q: Whats the difficulty of attaching subs and an amp to a stock deck in my Jeep Commander?
I drive a 2006 Jeep Commander and would like to put in a system without taking out the stock deck as it is quite nice. I have 2 12" Pioneer's already in a box and a 2500 Watt Xtant amp. How hard would it be to hook them up to my stock deck? Anything helps, thanks
A: You dont need a new deck if you dont want one. You will need a high power level converter. Thats a little box that you splice into your speakers and it converts it into rca's some amps have this in them, jl audio and fusion to name to. If the amp has it you dont need the box. then you will have to run your remote cable to the fuse box and wire it onto something that turns on when you turn the car on.
But it would be easier if you got a new head unit.
Q: What is the actual MPG for a Jeep commander?
My husband and I were looking for Jeep Commander and wondered what is the actual mpg for either a v8 or v6. I'm wanting to know from someone who actually has a jeep. Also is that a good suv? Thanks!
A: The Jeep Commander is a competent vehicle, but competence doesn't come cheap. A version running on E-85 is rated at only 9/13 mpg by the EPA, and onne with the 4.7 liter enging, which might see as much as 13/19 miles per gallon. The best bet for fuel economy, paeadoxically, is the big 5.7-liter V-8, which will do 15 city, 20 highway mpg.
For vehicles that are the size of a chicken coop and almost as aerodynamic, it all comes with the territory.
Q: Where can i get the interior a\c vents for a 2007 Jeep Commander?
I need one of those flaps use on the a\c vent for a 2007 Commander i have searched all the main JEEP web sites and the dont sale those parts. Also i need pink or purple JEEP floor mats for my wifes Wrangler if anyone has advice on that!!!PLEASE HELP.
A: AC vents can only be bought at the dealer. I needed them for my Dodge truck and went through the same search. You can by them online from any OEM parts dealer.
Pink or purple floor mats are out of my field of experience.

does anyone know how to take the driver side door panel off of a 2006 jeep commander. please help fast!!! moms atm card went down the window and shes comming home from work soon.

Q: how do you turn off the backing up light on the 2007 jeep commander?
I have a 2007 jeep commander and im taking my road test and i need to know how to turn off the back up alert, when u back up and if ur too close to something it beeps? a friend took a roadtest and when the examiner saw they had it (it never went off though) they failed them for saying they have assistance!! how do i deactivate it for my test?
dearest jen,
i didn't ask you for your opinion on what vehicle i drive. im simply asking a question about the features on the car, so if you don't know the answer, don't reply.
thanks.
A: I believe this can be done by the overhead module. Press the menu button until it reads "Disable Park Assist." Press "Step" and you should be good to go. This is also outlined in the owner's manual.
Q: Does anyone own a Jeep Commander, and how do you like it?
What do you think about your Jeep Commander?
A: i dont own one but i sat in one at an auto show and let me tell you commfy and its a jeep so its goin to kick ass just slap a lift on it and its good to go
Q: What do you think of a Jeep Commander?
I have read all the reviews in Motor Trend and stuff but I sat in it and I love it. What do you think about a Jeep Commander ( 2008)
A: I think the Commander looks great myself. One question for you though, did you sit in the back seat at all? If you plan on having anyone back there who is older than five years old, I would reconsider. Even the much smaller Liberty offers tons more rear leg room than the Commander. DO NOT buy a new model. These vehicles are notorious for losing tons of value in their first year and you can pick one up ridiculously cheap used - HEMI or not - just one year old.
Fact of the matter is, there are far better similar sized SUVs that offer better interior space, mileage and value at the same price. People are emotional buyers though, and if you must have a Commander, bite the bullet and buy an '06-'07 - it'll save you a ton of money!

A: pls go to website and clich on motor part or car parts there you will find some thing www.shopforbargains.info
Q: does anyone know where to find a jeep commander in pittsburgh?
I am interested in locating and looking at Jeep Commanders in Pittsburgh Pa.
A: a jeep dealer think there is one near century 3
Q: Why is 2005 Jeep Commander shutting off while driving?
We have taken the Jeep back to the dealer and they have found nothing wrong. This is a 2005 Jeep Commander with a 5.7L hemi. They think we are bumping the Ignition key while we are driving. Thats not the case.
This also so happened on a friends Jeep Grand Cherokee, with the same motor 5.7L and differant dealers.
A: For the dealer to say your Commander cuts off because your knee is hitting the ignition is incredibly ignorant. They know better, believe me. IF that were case anywho, they should have replaced the ignition under warranty, IF they thought that was the real cause of the problem. If your Command shuts off very abruptly, rather than sputtering and dying, it is most likely an electrical problem. If it sputters and dies, it could be a myriad of issues. I recommend taking it to a different Chrysler dealership.
Q: Jeep Commander Manual Transmission not shifting?
I just bought a 2006 Jeep Commander and the Man. transmission feature will not shift back up to higher gears. It will shift all the way down to "1" but will not go back up to the higher gears - 2, 3 and 4. Am I missing some setting? Do I need to turn this feature on somehow or is it malfunctioning.
Update - its a new five-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode - no clutch.
A: i have the 06 commander, there is nothing you need to activate, the only thing i could possibly think is that in order to shift up click the shifter away from the driver, or to the right to up shift. You pull towards you to down shift, and away to shift up. Obviously if you know this and it still doesn't work, then its a malfunction return to the dealer and have them look at it.
