Q: Why don't I have +12v to my radio on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee? (All fuses check good in the 3 fuse boxes)
I was installing a new radio in my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and noticed that I no longer had +12v coming in. Everything else works inside the Jeep and I checked all of the fuses in the under dash panel and both under hood panels. I also tried plugging in the stock stereo, no power still. Any ideas?

A: There are no fusible links in the radio system. The B+ wires for the radio both run off of the same fuse. That is fuse number 28 in the integrated power module that runs to the junction block and splits to the two 16 gauge red w/ orange tracer wires going to the radio. I suggest double checking fuse 28 in the fuse box closest to you under the hood. The fuse appears to be one of the ones in the black holder. If that one is not blown then i suggest taking it to a dealer to find the open wire.

Q: What makes my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee lock itself and start the engine by itself?
My Grand Cherokee is garaged and never locked. On 4 occasions I have found it locked and running when I enter the garage. It came with remote start but it has never been used by me.

A: Sounds like you might be accidently hitting the button on something. Only thing that makes sense :)

Q: Can you buy a trailer hauling hitch thing to a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I have a '07 Grand Cherokee and would love to pull my 4-wheeler trailer behind it, but I do not have the package for a receiver hitch. I was wondering if there's a way to buy like a package for this and either install it myself or take it somewhere to be installed?

A: There is a hitch available for your vehicle. It's #75338 for $132.19 and I found it here: http://store.drawtite.com/dt75338.html Also, here are the installation instructions for this hitch. http://www.draw-tite.com/fitguides/pdf/N75338.pdf There is no drilling to install this hitch, and it requires additional installation time if you have tow hooks. The wiring is #118425 for $26.50, and I found it here. http://store.drawtite.com/dt118425.html Also, here are the installation instructions: http://www.draw-tite.com/fitguides/pdf/N118425.pdf This harness is a plug in wiring harness. There is no cutting or splicing wires. Hope this helps!

I obviously removed the screws but from the looks of it there are a few locks that i can't reach....know anything?

Q: Which one is better a 2007 jeep grand cherokee laredo or a 06 nissan maxima?
I want to purchase a new car but im not sure which one would be the better buy. its either between a 06 nissan maxima or a 07 grand cherokee laredo. I really like the grand cherokee but we test drove one and when we started it it made a noise and as we drove it it smelled like burnt oil. I dont know if it was just that truck that just has something wrong with it or has anyone had any problems so far with their 07 grand cherokee? Im kinda skeptical about the cherokee because it was an 07 with about 13,000 miles and it was already making a noise as we started it. Has anyone had any problems with either car?

A: An 07 jeep grand cherokee with 13,000 miles on it is relatively high for a car being less than a year old. The previous owner must of done a lot of driving and traded it in when he started noticing some things that were going wrong with it. That jeep in particular is probably a bad one from the bunch. A Jeep vs. the nissan maxima are acutally very different cars and you chould choose wisely which one is right for you. The jeep is a very safe car which has four wheel drive, and has good off road capability but drives very well in both the city and highway Optional V8 engines The nissan maxima is a large family car which drives pretty sporty. Large 3.5L high out-put engine Fuel economy for both of these cars are not great but are somewhat modest

Q: What kind of gas mileage does a 2007 jeep grand cherokee SUV get?

A: City: 12 – 20 Highway: 15 – 25 The 20/25 is the CRD diesel

Q: How do I remove the radio bezel on a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

A: Just softly and carefully pull it off, there just clips holding it.

Q: I just bought a 2007 jeep grand cherokee I love it...question is should I buy the warrenty ?
It is $1680.00 for bumper to bumper 80,000 miles ? never know if this is a rip off or not.... Did I say I love this Jeep Has the best ride ever .

A: If you plan on purchasing the vehicle versus leasing the vehicle the extended warranty takes on a different role. If your intention is to keep the vehicle, look in the owners manual under scheduled maintenance from the current mileage to 80,000 miles. This will spell out what parts can fail as well as providing greater clarity of the time line relative to the difference between the end of the standard warranty to the beginning of the extended warranty. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 wheel drive internal parts could fail within 80,000 miles. Close attention needs to be paid to the transmission, not for the purpose of any impropriety in workmanship, but for the purpose of load bearing moving parts that must be well lubricated, fluids changed on time and when necessary flushed. If you decide to bypass the extended warranty then do not go cheap on upkeep and do not extend the change periods on fluids. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander with 80,000 miles on the odometer. It is a fine vehicle and one of the best that money can buy. Congratulations. Enjoy.

Q: How do I remove stereo from a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
and YES it belongs to me.

A: If it's at all similar to the '05 and '06, you only need to pry away the trim panel around the radio. It's just held in with clips; pry carefully around the perimeter and release them one by one. Underneath the radio is held in with four screws.

Q: 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Im looking to get a 2007 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, does anyone have and good or bad advice about it?

A: i really like the Grand Cherokee, great product for a domestic car. There are great deals on the V6 right now as DCX is having trouble with inventory levels, do your research here http://www.carsdirect.com/home

Q: Is the 2008 jeep grand charokee that much better than the 2007 jeep grand cherokee?

A: I think it is. Some new features, including safety at no extra cost. Plus a diesel (CRD) is available again.

Q: Is the mileage OK on the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Who has one? Pros/Cons?

A: Like all SUV's they eat gas, so don't look for good mileage in one of these vehicles.

Q: What are the lift options for a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I am also looking for tire options and peoples preferences..

A: All you need to do is get the Cherokee edition of Quadratek parts for jeeps...and you'll find everything you can think of. They had lift kits and stuff for 2007 jeeps before they even hit the showroom floor. But unless you have a sweetheart of a dealership, the minute you start modifying it you can throw your warranty out the window-because it will NOT work on modified vehicles! Chrysler will go to ANY LENGTH to screw you on warranty-I know-I chased them in court for almost TWO YEARS before I finally won at the State Supreme Court level-they kept appealing it from District Court up-I won every time.
